Environmentally Friendly Painters

The unpleasant odours are mainly due to something called Volatile Organic Compounds or VOCs. Found inside your paint, these carbon-based chemicals are added to the product in order to slow the drying process, giving painters more time to work with the paint before it begins to dry and set. At room temperature, VOCs will dissolve into the atmosphere in a gaseous state when the paint is applied. This results in a poor air quality that, under long term exposure, can have a range of negative effects on your health.

Painters Darwin do not operate in association with any specific brands or paint suppliers. We’re always looking for new and innovative products to achieve the best possible finish in the safest and most efficient way. We do, however, source a large amount of our paints from Dulux Australia.

We also make sure to use water based enamels when working with interior and exterior doors, window frames and trim. A premium acrylic product, water based enamel meets the Green Building Council of Australia’s (GBCA) targets for safe interior and exterior painting.
